GolfSpec provides a club catalogue maintained by GolfSpec and shared by all shops. You choose the brands you work with, adjust your prices and options, then build the recommended clubs from these product sheets.

Choose your brands

In Settings, Catalog tab, the Active brands panel lists the catalogue brands. Tick the ones you work with, then save: the button shows the number of brands, for example Save · 6 brands.

  • At sign-up, every brand present in the catalogue is already ticked.
  • Brands marked Coming soon have no product sheets yet and cannot be ticked.
  • Only ticked brands appear in searches. With no active brand, the catalogue search stays empty.

The Catalog settings tab is reserved for admins.

Adapt the catalogue to your shop

The My catalog panel, below the brands, lists the products. Open a product with the arrow at the end of its row. Your settings only apply to your shop:

  • My price (incl. VAT) replaces the catalogue price in your fittings. Left empty, the catalogue price applies.
  • The eye icon (Hide this model (not sold)) removes a model from your searches.
  • Lofts / versions offered, Shafts offered and Grips offered limit the options offered when choosing. At least one option must remain available.
  • Reset returns the product to the catalogue values.

Changes are saved right away. A modified product is tagged “custom”.

You cannot add products to the catalogue. For a missing model, enter the item by hand (see the last part).

Add an item from the catalogue

  1. On the fitting page, click Item, or Add an item below the item list.
  2. Choose the category: driver, wood, hybrid, utility, irons, wedge or putter.
  3. In Catalogue search, type the brand, the model or both, for example “Ping G440”, then pick the product from the list.
  4. The brand, model, price and photo fill in. Set the loft, lie, length or set composition depending on the club.
  5. Set the shaft and grip (see below), check the Pricing, then click Add the item.
  • At the top of the Add an item page, a flex, length and lie suggestion appears when the player’s speeds or height are filled in.
  • For irons, Set composition sets the number of irons, and the price is entered per iron (Price / iron incl. VAT).
  • Save & add another lets you add items one after another without going back to the fitting page.

Shafts, grips and upcharges

  • Catalogue product: choose the material (Steel or Graphite) when both are offered, then the shaft and its flex from the list. A paid shaft shows its upcharge, copied into the Shaft upcharge field.
  • Same for the grip: choose a model (Origine STD for the factory-fitted grip) and its colour. The upcharge is copied into Grip upcharge.
  • Leave 0 when the shaft or grip is stock or included in the price.

An item’s price is the client price (or, failing that, the retail price), plus the shaft upcharge and the grip upcharge, multiplied by the quantity.

For a discount, enter a Discount % and click Apply: the Client price incl. VAT is computed. Left empty, the retail price applies.

Build a club step by step

The club builder guides you through building a club in up to seven steps: Club type, Head, Shaft, Length, Lie, Grip and Price. Steps that do not apply are skipped: no lie for a driver, wood, hybrid or putter, and no shaft or length for a putter. The builder lives in session mode.

  1. On the fitting page, click Session mode and move on to the Recommendations step.
  2. Click Build a club (guided). With the Express setting, the link reads Build step by step (guided).
  3. Choose the club type, then search the head in the catalogue. The stock shaft, length, lie and factory grip are pre-filled.
  4. At each step, the recommended value follows Recommended:. Click Apply to keep it, or choose freely. Move on with Next.
  5. At the Price step, check the price and quantity, then click Add to quote.

To weigh up several heads, use the scales icon (Add to comparator) next to a result: up to three heads are compared side by side, and Select keeps the right one.

On the Pro and Full plans, a club tested during the session becomes an item with Recommend, without retyping everything.

Item missing from the catalogue

If the search finds nothing, the form shows “No results” and invites you to enter the item by hand.

  1. Under or enter manually, fill in Brand and Model.
  2. For the shaft, enter Brand & model and choose the Flex.
  3. For the grip, choose a brand then a model, or Other (free text).
  4. Enter the Retail price incl. VAT and any upcharges, then add the item.

An item entered by hand only belongs to this fitting: it is not added to the catalogue. In the club builder, the Brand and Model fields of the Head step allow the same free entry.
