This guide covers your first steps: signing up, the free trial, the quick setup and the few settings to check before your first client.

Create your workspace

  1. Open the Create your workspace page.
  2. Fill in Shop name, Your name, Work email and Password.
  3. Choose the shop Language (French or English) and Currency (EUR, GBP, USD or CHF).
  4. Accept the terms, then click Create my free workspace.

You are signed in right away and taken to the quick setup. This first account is the shop administrator.

The free trial lasts 14 days, with no credit card. During the trial, every feature is available, with no limit on fittings or users.

An email reminds you 3 days before the trial ends. Without a subscription at the end of the trial, the account becomes read-only: your data stays viewable and exportable.

Confirm your email address

When you sign up, you receive a welcome email. Click its link to confirm your address: the link is valid for 7 days.

You have 72 hours after signing up to confirm. After that, the account becomes read-only until you confirm. Until then, a banner at the top of the screen shows the deadline.

Link lost or expired: click Resend the link, in the banner or in the getting-started list.

Only the administrator can request a new link, up to 3 times per hour. The link is always sent to the account email address.

The quick setup

Right after signing up, GolfSpec opens a three-step setup:

  • Shop: Phone, Address, Website, Google Reviews link (shown after client satisfaction surveys) and your launch monitor (Which launch monitor do you use?). GolfSpec works with any launch monitor, or none: CSV import or manual entry.
  • Branding: Primary color and logo (PNG, JPG or SVG, 500 KB max). The logo appears on your PDFs, your emails and the client portal.
  • Let's go: a summary, then Start fitting takes you to the dashboard.

In a hurry? Skip setup takes you straight to the dashboard. You can change everything later in Settings.

What is already set up

Your shop is ready to use as soon as you sign up:

  • Six fitting types: driver, woods and hybrids, irons, wedges, putter and full bag. Each has an indicative price and duration, in the shop currency, and its guided session protocol.
  • All catalog brands are turned on: club search works straight away.
  • The timezone is the one of your browser when you signed up. Your opening hours and booking slots are interpreted in this timezone.
  • Default opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm, with one-hour slots.
  • A primary site named after your shop, and reply templates for messaging.

On your first visit to the dashboard, a 6-step guided tour shows you the essentials. To see it again: Settings, Shop tab, Account panel, Restart the guided tour button.

The getting-started list

On the dashboard, the Get your shop up and running card lists eight steps:

  • Confirm your email address
  • Complete your shop details
  • Review your fitting types and prices
  • Create your first fitting
  • Add an item to the quote
  • Share the client space
  • Open a workshop ticket
  • Turn on online booking

Each step ticks itself off based on your real data: as soon as your first fitting exists, for example, or once your fitting types differ from the original ones. Each step link opens the right screen.

To remove the card, click Hide, or Hide the list once everything is done. Once hidden, it does not come back.

The list is shown to the administrator and managers, for 60 days after sign-up.

Settings to check

Before your first client, take a few minutes in Settings:

  • Shop details (Shop tab): phone, address and logo appear on your quotes, PDFs and client emails.
  • Fitting types (Fitting tab): set your own prices and durations, add or delete services.
  • Hours & schedule (Fitting tab): opening days and hours, and Calendar slot duration.
  • Active brands (Catalog tab): untick the brands you do not work with. With no active brand, catalog search is empty.
  • Launch monitor (Integrations tab): choose your studio device to see how to import sessions, or No device (manual entry). Details in Measurements and launch monitor.
  • Online booking (Fitting tab): turn it on if clients should book on their own, after checking the Shop timezone. Details in Online booking.

Use the administrator account for these settings: the Integrations and Catalog tabs, and the Online booking panel, are for the administrator only.
